file.online provides a file transfer service designed with privacy and minimal data collection in mind.

What data we process

We process uploaded file data (stored as encrypted ciphertext when Encrypted mode is used), file metadata (file name, size, expiration, download count) and limited technical logs such as IP address and timestamps for security and abuse prevention.

Client-side encryption

When Encrypted mode is enabled, files are encrypted inside your browser before upload. The encryption key is never sent to or stored on file.online. We cannot access or decrypt your files.

Retention

Files are deleted automatically when they expire or when their download limit is reached.

Your rights

You may request information or deletion of any personal data we control. Due to encryption and anonymity, files cannot be identified without a valid access code.
